Review of the NAMM Show 2024

We look back on the 2024 NAMM Show and are grateful to everyone who visited us at our booth from January 25-28 at the Anaheim Convention Center. It was an event full of musical passion, innovation and community, and we are happy to have been a part of it.

NAMM is a comprehensive showcase of musical instruments, audio technology and ground-breaking innovations, providing a vibrant platform for industry professionals, artists and music lovers alike. Visitors to the Fiberreed stand were able to experience and try out our extensive range of synthetic reeds.

Our team guided visitors through our collection. This allowed them to experience the difference that Fiberreed reeds can make on their musical journey. Whether experienced musicians or budding virtuosos, there was something for everyone to discover and the odd aha moment.

Our Booth with Markus Arnold's BUZZ-R

New for us at NAMM 2024 was the partnership with BUZZ-R. This year, we were also able to welcome brass players to our stand. BUZZ-R is an innovative embouchure trainer for brass instruments and alphorns developed by the talented musician Markus Arnold. His products attracted a lot of attention and impressed many visitors with their unique functionality.

Looking back on the eventful days of NAMM, we are grateful for the valuable contacts and unforgettable moments we were able to share with visitors. Every interaction, from impromptu jam sessions to insightful discussions about musical techniques and instruments, left us with lasting impressions.

We would like to thank everyone who stopped by our stand to discover our reeds, Ranger Mouthpieces and Markus Arnold's innovative products. The enthusiasm and support of our customers and endorsers inspire our passion for the development of our products.

RPL Fiberreed for soprano saxophone

In May, Rodrigo traveled from Portugal to test the reeds , which Harry carefully crafts by hand in his workshop. Harry can adjust his machines to the saxophone professor's exacting playing requirements with millimeter precision. After numerous tests, they have developed an ideal soprano reed that is suitable for saxophonists of different musical styles.


Fiberreed Live stream with Harry Hartmann & Roland Graf on the G saxophone Fiberreed

During this live stream, Harry Hartmann and Roland Graf talk about their joint experiences in the development of the new G-SAX Fiberreed, the second reed of the new Fiberreed Artist Series. Roland Graf, also known as G-SAX, has been playing Fiberreed-reeds for over 20 years and talks about the advantages and quality of this synthetic reeds. They also discuss the development and the different cuts of the reeds. In the video, G-SAX talks about his many years of experience with Fiberreed reeds and his collaboration with Harry Hartmann. He has tried many different mouthpieces and reeds, but he finds that nothing compares to Fiberreed . He mentions that he prefers the older cut of the reed and that Harry Hartmann made it especially for him.

For G-Sax, the reed is the most important element of his sound. He says that everything else, including the mouthpiece and the saxophone, is secondary. He recommends trying different reeds and mouthpieces to find the best combination. Roland talks about how his ideal sound has changed over the years. He appreciates that the new G-SAX-reed He appreciates that the new G-SAX-reed takes these changes into account and offers a warmer, rounder sound that he now prefers.

Roland finds that the G-SAX-reed offers a good combination of a "crisp" and warm sound. He emphasizes that the new design of the reed sounds even a bit warmer than the previous one. He uses the G-SAX-reed for both alto and tenor saxophones and finds that it works well with different mouthpieces.
