Saul Lubaroff started his musical journey when he was eight years old.Excelling as a saxophonist, clarinetist and flautist, Saul stands as a great cog in the Eastern Iowa Music scene. Saul has released two CD’s as the leader of the Saul Lubaroff Quartet and performs at local jazz clubs with his group.An accomplished free-lance woodwind artist, Saul has played with Orchestra Iowa, Theater Cedar Rapids, Revival Theater Company. Saul has shared the stage with NYC pianist and former Cannonball Adderley sideman Michael Wolff, Blues legend Rico McFarland, Austin Texas band Tomar and the FC’s, George Clinton and Liquid Soul, among others. The Gigs of the Bernemann Bros Band, The Brass Band, The Tanya English Band, James Mons and his NOT so little Monsters, The Nic ArpSaul is a full time member of The Fez- Eastern Iowa’s Steely Dan Tribute band, a 29 yr member of the powerful Soul band Shade of Blue, a 25 year member of the Johnny Kilowatt Band as well as subbing and free lancing with many wonderful bands and musicians around the Midwest. Saul is a private music instructor and adjunct teacher of woodwinds and jazz improvisation. Saul is also a music producer for KCCK jazz radio at Cedar Rapids, IA.
